This week was Apple Week in room 206! We read books about apples, made our own books about apples, sequenced apples with numbers for our 10 Apples Up On Top project, practiced our numbers by drawing apples in trees, and made an apple glyph after tasting apples...that's a lot of apples!
We had a birthday in our classroom family this week. Happy Birthday, Maddee! She brought us some yummy goldfish crackers and we made her a birthday book.
We have been building our stamina these first three weeks for many things in our classroom such as Writing with Tools, Read to Self, ABC Word Work, and Rest Time. We are almost at our twenty-minute goal for Read to Self. We are really proud of ourselves because we started out only being able to read independently for 4 minutes.
